Maison du Portugal, Cité Universitaire Internationale
Facade
Students home, Paris, France
Architects: AAVP Architecture and A. Virga
In addition to giving a transparent "veil" to this ageing students home, the architect also wanted to copy the design of the existing paving tiles. A variety of perforated pattern combinations were tried and tested before deciding on the right one, which provides an amazing facade whether it is day or night. The perforated panels, manufactured and supplied by RMIG Solutions, played a vital role in giving a new identity and character to the Maison du Portugal.
