Royal Arcade Crewe MSCP

Facade

Multi-storey car park, Crewe, England

Architects: Corstorphine & Wright

A major regeneration of Crewe's town centre resulted in new, modern transport facilities for the district. The site, home to Crewe’s bus station since the 1950s, could no longer meet the area's growing demands. As part of the redevelopment, a new town centre car park with 389 spaces was constructed. The car park’s facade features over 2,600 m² of perforated and expanded metal, manufactured by RMIG Solutions. One side showcases a heritage wall that pays tribute to the town’s proud legacy as a global centre for technical innovation, manufacturing, and engineering. Using RMIG ImagePerf, a large-scale motif was created, depicting historic workers from key local industries that shaped Crewe’s identity.
